It was a beach day yesterday!!!

Ok so yesterday I did a good thing, I went to the beach for the 1st time.
It was so nice out, the weather was beautiful, I took a walk in the sand and just was happy that the sun was out.

It's a great thing that summer is on its way.

Ok, so we've come to that time of year again. I start knitting a bag for someone, and not for me. It's the International Tote Exchange 4 and it as always should be fun.

I can't really wait. I love all the other bags that I got from other people, And I love to be able to share what I've done for someone else.

I got "STONED" and realized I love the Islander's Organization all on the same day!!

This is a long and drawn out story...but it has a happy ending.

The Director of Sales of the Bridgeport Soundtigers called me on Monday to tell me that the Gameworn Michael Mole jersey that I won at the end of the season auction. was sent to Meigray he told me they have in their contract that the 1st Jersey from every player, Meigray gets.

He said, Howard (the president of the organization) told him that I can either have next season's jersey or I can have another jersey from this year for any other player.

I opted to take next seasons, away jersey. He said, since Moley will be with us next season he will get me the road jersey after they come back from the 1st road trip, and yet again, back to the locker room to get it signed. (OK the boy is really gonna think i'm stalking him then) This sucks, because I wanted to road blue from this season, because it would be his 1st AHL jersey, but now, at this point I'll get the road jersey from next season, not sure that I like it, but hey there's more orange on it, so I guess that's a plus. At this point there's still not much that I can do about it.

But today was the big turn around.

Around 11am Jason fom Meigray called me and left me a message that said, I have you Mole Jersey please call me back, (you have my Mole Jersey...I don't have a Mole Jersey, you do) so I called Jason back and he told me that he was told to sell me the Jersey for the amount of $225.00 he didn't know why, how or what happend, he just knew that's what he had to do. Jason, also informed me that the Jersey was signed (hmmmm I wonder how that happend He signed it for me) What Meigray told me was they were suppose to get Jersey 1 or 2 but there isn't a 1 of 2 there's only a 1 or 1, the Jersey that he wore in that game in the begining of the season in Hershey, was the same one that he wore all season. So that's why Meigray had the Jersey.

I called Shane to thank him for getting the jersey for me and he asked me if Howard had called me. I told him no, and he said it was Howard...yes I said Howard!!! was the one that called Meigray and told them I won the jersey in an auction that they had at the arena. And please lower the price and sell the Jersey to me for the amount that I got in the auction.

So now, my Moley jersey is paid for and will be shipped to me today.

I'm so happy!!!!


And now the other 1/2 of the story, Yes I did "Get Stoned" I went tonight to go see Hinder, they of couse sang Lips of an Angel and Get Stoned and all the rest of their big hits.

It was a great show. They were really good, ok the show was general admisson at Sacred Heard Univeristy, but that's ok too, I can't the opening 2 bands were ok Day's of the New was pretty good, and Operator was good, I've heard better, but I've totally heard worse.

All in all it was a great night, a well needed night out. I really had so much fun.

Hockey season is Officially over.

And that's just sad :-(

We went to game 4 of the Stanley Cup Quater Finals. Which unfortunatly they lost. Due to a few bad calls, a few missed calls, and the team just didn't want it as bad as Buffalo did....I guess.



That's ok. I don't mind they didn't make it to the next round, they snuck into the playoffs, off the back of a third string, minor league goalie (I love Wade Dubielewicz...Dubie's the best)



All I can say is, we just have to look forward to next year, to see what they have in store for us, for both teams. The Isle's and Tiger's because what ever the Isle's do effects the Tiger's as well.

Hey one good thing....It's Baseball season....not that it's helping much either, the Yankee's are working on a the 3rd series sweep.....and not being the sweeper, they are being the sweepies. But it's april, it can only get better. We know it can't get much worse

- Rangers MUST beat Montreal 4/5
- Toronto MUST beat Montreal 4/7 (Montreal can take ONE of these games to
overtime, the other MUST be IN REGULATION)
- Islanders MUST beat Philadelphia 4/7
- Islanders MUST beat New Jersey 4/8

Ok, so far the Isle's beat Toronto last night, not to mention the Ranger's the night before.

Now Saturday night, I will become a Toronto Fan....but still an Islander Fan. And Sunday, it's the Isle's all the way. They haven't had a real lot of luck against Brodeur and the Devil's but they won the 1st game of the season....let's see if they can win the last.

Let me tell you why I hate the Islander's Organization.

Tell me if you think this makes any sense to you....it makes no sense to me.

Why would you start a goalie in a game that starts at 11:00am in Hartford, when you just sent him back to the AHL from the NHL after playing last night on Long Island?

Ok so he didn't start the game on the Island last night, but he played the 3rd period....ok almost the 3rd period. But it was a 730pm game, it was over around 10pm. So what that means...is he either didn't get home to CT from Long Island until close to 1am, then had to be on the bus to Hartford at 7am this morning.

Now tell me would you be upset that he let in 6 goals......NO!!! You really can't fault him for that. He was tired, and not ready to play. If they were goning to call someone up from the ECHL to be a back up, why didn't they just start our backup?

They wanted to put Dubie in because he normally plays better against Hartford.....obviously today this was not the case. I feel bad for him, and there really wasn't anything that he could do. He looked tired, he looked awful. And now he has to live with that terrible lose.

They are fighting for a playoff spot, and this wasn't going to help them losing this game today, because now they have dropped out of position......yet again.

11 games left in the season, and we need to win most of them and Albany to lose most of theirs. Let's go TIGER'S!!!!

UUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Who would drive 450 miles to see a hockey game....oh yeah me!!!

Ok, I know I have some issues, but I decieded to drive to Binghamton to go see the Soundtigers play tonight.

And all I can say is thank goodness that I did. It was a great game!! The Soundtigers won 6-2. And of those 6 goals 4 of them were in the 1st period. It really was a good game, and well worth the 450 miles and 7 hours in the car for a 2 hour game.

Ok, so I know i;'m a bit crazy for doing it, but hey, I was on vacation this week and didn't have too much to do so this is what I did.

LET'S GO TIGER'S

Knitting and driving is not a good way to start the day.

Ok, so my day started out pretty damn crappy, with a little bit of snow that fell this morning made my drive into work very, very crappy. I knew it was gonna be bad when it took me 20 minutes to go about 2 miles something that usually takes about 5 or so.

So as I continue my wonderful drive from Shelton to Hartford, I get stuck on the Merrit Parkway and yes I now know why they call it a parkway....I was parked. For about 25 minutes or so, just outside of North Haven.

Thank god I had my knitting with me, so I did that, and listeded to so music. I called into work to tell them, I was going to be late. I finally made it to work, and I was only an hour late.So thats a plus. But here's where the day starts to get a little bit better.

I got out of work ontime (even a few minutes early) and drove to Bridgeport. We had tickets to see Nickelback, with Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace.

Breaking Benjamin was ok, they weren;t bad, but they weren't awsome either, then for 3 Days Grace, they were I have to say awsome. Great concert band, better live than on CD.

Finally Nickelback. Which I have to say was absolutly great. They put on a good show, they sang for almost 2 hours (which now a day is like unheard of)

Chad was great he even told a some jokes. Which I will let you in on, I hope I don't kill it.

But all in all it was a great night. Here a some pictues and a little video that I took...ok it was with the camera phone, so the quality kinda sucks, but hope you like them, I know its a show I wont soon forget.

Ok here's Chad's Joke.

A guy deceides he wants to go fishing and take his wife and his dog along, but unfortunatly his wife dosen't like to fish. So he talks to her and says "Honey why don't we go fishing, we can take the boat out stay on the lake for the day and have some fun" His wife hems and haws a little bit, and finally he says to her, well you if you don't want to go you have 2 choices. 1. Oral or 2. Anal, so she looks at him and says now come on you know which one it's gonna be. So they get down to business, and starts and says eeeewww honey. He says "What?" Shes says to him "You know you taste like Shit" and he immediatly says back to her. "Yeah, the dog didn't want to go either"

Hey, I didn't write it, I just repeated it, I thought it was funny and worth repeating. But you did laugh didn't you!!!

A historic hockey game and number 8

Ok, who'd ever thought eighth place was a good thing. Actually at this point, it's the best thing in the whole world.

Today was a great day for Islander hockey fans everywhere. Today 2 things happend. Well actually three, but I'm not really going to count going to Long Island to see this all happen.

Today was the Islander's vs Canadien's in Nassau Coliseum, so we took the drive to New York for a 1pm game, and got to see a little history in the making.

It was a great game, the Isle's won 3-2 and Frans Nielsen scored his 1st NHL goal, a little earlier in the game he got his 1st NHL point with an assist from yet another Soundtiger (Jeff Tambellini) WOOHOO!!!

Ok Frans is the 1st born and raised Dane to play in the NHL so that in itself is some big news, but then to actually be at the game when he scores his 1st goal, that's just cool. I love historic hockey games. (God know's I've been to enough of them)

But that wasn't the only thing that happned today, with the win of Montreal, the Isle's overtake them in the standings putting them in the 8th seed which is a good thing, that means we have officially made it into playoff contention, I know it probably won't stay that way for long, but hey, its a start. If they keep chipping away they might actually make it up to 5th or 6th, and that would be just cool.

So we'll keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best, the season is starting to wind down only about 6 weeks left, so LET'S GO ISLANDER'S

Tiger's Win and visitors from PA

Ok, the soundtigers winning streak was broken saturday night by the Lowell Devils, but the streak now begins again.

The Tiger's beat the Pens on Sunday afternoon.

Ok, we had a few extra people at the game then we would normally have but that was cool.

I was happy to see them all. Hey we ususally don't get a chance to see the girls but a couple of times a year and this was one of them (Sorry it didn't have a good outcome guys)

But it was a fun day, and Now Bruno Gervais knows he is loved by a fan in Wilkes-Barre PA, thanks to me, we also found out he loves Noah Welch...but thats a whole other can of worms.

Let the Frogging begin.

Ok, the knitting began the other day and I already don't like what i'm doing. Why ask why.....just frog.

So here goes the purse. Let's see what happens next.

It's that time again...I'm knitting (Big shocker I know)

Ok, yes, it is that time again, I'm knitting another purse for someone. This time, I got a good person to knit for.

I'm knitting for a hockey fan in Vancouver. Ok, so she's a Canuks fan (i'll forgive her for that one) but she's does live in Vancouver, so I guess I would have to expect that one.

I can't wait for this one. It should be fun. I went out yesterday and bought new yarn (I know I have enough already, but I needed new yarn for a new project)

I'll keep you posted on progress, hopefully it'll come out the way I want it to.

And yes.....Since I'm knitting for someone. I get a purse in return. WOOHOO!! So its a good thing all the way round. Knit a purse - get a purse.

A new year and some new things.

Ok, so its been awhile since i've been here, but had a crazy couple of weeks after the holidays. Been to a couple of games went away, to london and done some crazy things.

If this is how this new year is going to be, I guess the best is yet to come.

2 quality shopping days left.

Ok, so there you have it. I have 2 days left to finish off everything that I need to do.

I still have to finish decorating, wrap presents, buy a couple of last minute things, and finish up the last minute knitting.

And I have pretty much 2 or 3 days left to do all of this.

All I can say is I'm gonna have to be wonderwoman to finish it all, but I have faith that I will.

Ok, after a fun filled weekend, of Hockey I end up with strep throat, I don't know were or when I got it, all I know is i'm suffering from it.

It sucks, for any of you who have ever had it it's awful, it takes over your whole body and just makes you feel weak and nasty. I've been on antibiotic for 24 hours now, so at least I'm not contagious any more.
Saturday, we went to Lowell Ma, to see the Lowell Devils play (and Bridgeort won) so that was a great game. after the game we drove back to Dawns house and stayed over night. So that too was fun.

Sunday, state number 2, we went to Manchester to see the Monarchs play, the outcome there wasn't as good. But hey you can't win them all, right, but it would be nice.

And now a break in the action and me to die for 24hours with strep throat, which inclued a fever of 102, the chills so bad I thought I was gonna freeze to death, aches and pains all over and just an overall feeling of yuckyness.

And now to continue with the days 3 and 4, with another little added bonus this time the little added bonus, was not being able to speak. So that was just cool. And yet again, one game was a win and one was not. Yet both games were played against the Senators.....hmmmmmmm, go figure.

Well, let me explain, ok the game on the losing end was the Islander's/Senator's and we were in New York, it was a good game, they started off kinda bad, but they were playing with a Ranger hangover so that kinda explains that.

Hey they woke up in the 3rd period, but too little too late.

And now for the winning game of the two, Bridgeport played the Binghamton Senators.....see I told you there was an explaination for it. The Senators scored 1st but that didn't help them win, they got the tied and Bridgeport scored with 23 secs left of O/T so that was a good thing.

Ok, I couldn't talk through the entire game, and I'm sure that made some people happy....hehehehe.

But hey it was another win on home ice so I'll take it.

Here's my 1st hockey rant of the season, but don't worry, there will be more to come.

All I can say is WOOHOO!!! for todays game. It was the 1st win of the season for Bridgeport at home in regulation. I can't believe it. It's the 20th game of the season, and they finally get a regulation win.

Ok so they have some problems, 1st we have a coach, that's never coahed before in his life, hey, when I grow up can I be a hockey coach, apparently if you ask nicely you can be, so everything is just a mess, theres never the same line twice, you look out, and you never know what you're gonna see.

Tonight, we had 2 forwards and 3 defenseman out for a faceoff, (hey isn't it suppose to be ther other way around) it was actually kinda funny. Let me continue, way too many stupid penalties, and the lack of skating ability. There's a player that just keeps falling down....all by himself, with no help of anyone else.

It was acutally funny the other night in hartford, during warmups he fell down, and all the guys turned and laughed at him, some evem pointed and laughed, it was very amusing.

Tonight was a turn around for a team that actually was dead last in the powerplay in the league at the start of the game, was able to move themselves up 4 places, after scoring 4 powerplay goals tonight, my thought is hey they're shy, they doing like scoring infront of a big crowd, and they certainly were busting at the seams tonight with a crowd maybe of 500 people, but those 500 people saw something no one else has all season....a win.

So far the highlight of the season, the team actually leads the league in the Penalty Kill, in 20 games they have only allowed to give up 12 goals (one of those was tonight) and trust me they are on the kill alot....hello all those stupid penalties they take, dumb, blatant penalties, things they should know better than doing.

Well this was the 1st game of the week, I have 2 more this weekend, I'm going to Lowell to see the Devils on Saturday, and Sunday to Manchester to see the Monarchs, hey it was suppose to be vacation this week and we didn't have anything planned so ROAD-TRIP, and staying over night in Hartford, at Dawn's house.

Sorry I ranted so much, but hope you enjoyed reading it all, I hope only to be able to write good hockey things from now untill the end of the season, hey I'm hopeful.

So, I may not have the lips of an Angel, but I do have the mind of a PSYCHO!!!

Ok, so it's black friday today. And yes, every year, it's kinda like a little tradition.
I get myself up at the crack of dawn and go out shopping, today was no different.
Went out yesterday and got all of the circulars and read through them. I was in search of a new camera, since mine died in the middle of vacation.

I really needed a new one, so theres no time like the present.
After digging through, I finally deceide on Best Buy, they have a Kodak camera 6.1 mp with 10x optical zoom on sale (friday and saturday only BOTH DAYS) so I'm up and out of the house before 430am.

I start out at Bestbuy in Trumbull...the lines are crazy and the store isn't open yet. Go in and no camera. (they also had a laptop on sale for 327.00, but knew I'd never get it, so just passed it)
Next stop Orange, wait in line to get in and again, no camera. So I travel to next bestbuy in Meriden, again, wait in line, and again, no camera. But after that, bestbuy is in meridien mall, so take a stop off at the mall, and go buy a couple of outfits (hey i'm in the mall and other than bestbuy the malls actually kinda empty) The the final stop for the morning, West Hartford, again, line no camera.

It's now a little before 8am and I have to be in work for 9am, so I cut my losses and go to work.
In work all day for 8 hours, on what was suppose to be a quiet day, which it wasnt' was going to try to shop online for this elusive camera, i was too busy and I couldn't do it.

I couldn't even go after work because there was a game, so I figure, hey it's a long holiday season, someones bound to have a camera along the way.

On the way home from the game, I pass by....guess what. Best buy in trumbull .....yet again, and think, hey this sale was for Firday and Saturday, 2 days they shouldn't have been sold out of these damn cameras that morning they have to have more.

So back to best buy we go. And guess what. THEY HAD THE DAMN CAMERA!!!!!!!!

I knew a little perseverance and determination would pay off. So I am now the proud owner of a new camera. WOOHOO!!!

So for all of you that get pictures from me, you now will be able to get good pictures from me.
I can't wait to start taking them. It's going to the game with me tommorrow, the batteries are charged, the memory card is empty, all I can do now, is SAY CHEESE!!!!!
